Great Grandad's 80th Birthday

We have been in Nottingham this weekend for Great Grandad's 80th Birthday. 32 of us went out for lunch to celebrate on Saturday. For once Daddy remembered to take a picture of me with Mummy!
I had my own highchair at the table - I'm not so sure about the colour mind!

I had melon for starter, followed by roast beef, roast potatoes and vegetables followed by fruit salad for pudding. Great Grandad's birthday cake even had a picture of Great Grandad on!

I was rather full after all that lunch so decided to have a sit down to read my book!

Once my lunch had gone down it was time to play - the corridor was perfect for chasing my bus up and down as the shiny floor meant that it whizzed up and down really well!

We stayed in a hotel on Saturday night (although Roxie got evicted from the room by the manager when Daddy left her there on her own to come and get me!) I had eaten so much for lunch on Saturday so didn't have any tea but made up for it at breakfast on Sunday morning with cereal followed by bread, baked beans and sausage! After Daddy go tme out of the high chair I even took my bowl back to the buffet to see if there was any more!!
Even though I had a big breakfast I was ready for lunch, but had time to play with Grandad, Uncle Julian & Ali before it arrived!
There are more photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/jongillgrass from the last few months so you can see what I have been up to!

Saxon Warrior

We went to Weston Park Museum this week and I got dressed up as an Anglo Saxon Warrior. Apparently swords are too dangerous for little people so I had to make do with a shield!

Curry!!

Mummy & Daddy have been on holiday this week so we went to Akbhar's for tea on Wednesday. Poppadums were a hit, as was the nann bread. I also tried some very nice Massala fish and chicken tikka!

Our House

We have been having our house repaired this week. All the rendering has been replaced so we have scaffolding up at the moment.

We are waiting for the bricklayer as when they took the render off the bay window the wall almost fell down! The bricklayer has taken some bricks out to see how bad it is... the general consensus being that Joshua could have built a better wall!!

Newcastle

We spent this Sunday in Newcastle visiting Julian, Ali, Emily & Ed. We visited Julian & Ali's flat so I could check how child friendly it was (not very!!) and then met Emily and Ed and went for a walk beside the Tyne.

We had rented a flat for the night so everyone came back to the flat to play with me.

The flat was very nice...
and I enjoyed it as the cupboards didn't have locks on!

After I had had my bath and gone to bed all the grown ups ate the meal Mummy had cooked.

On Monday we went for a walk round town - I saw the castle with Daddy, before we went to Pizza Express for lunch. The waitress was amazed that someone so small could eat as much as I did!!

Thomas the Tank Engine

We went to Elsecar Heritage Centre to see Thomas the Tank Engine. After he had taken us for a ride I helped give him a drink!!
