We spent our last day round Keswick. First Mummy, Daddy & I went on a boat trip round Derwent Water. The landscape was amazing.
We got a bit wet as we were sat at the front of the boat and some of the water splashed on to us!
On the way back to the pier we nearly ran Chris & Anna over. They had hired a rowing boat but nearly rowed in front of the big boat we were on! Luckily our boat gave a loud toot on its horn to warn them.
We all had lunch in a cafe near the lake...
I enjoyed my plate of sausage & chips followed by a chocolate ice lolly!
After lunch we went for a walk round the edge of the lake. Mat found a net so I went fishing...
whilst the grown ups went for a paddle.
After we had walked back to town and stopped for a hot chocolate we all went to the park. I joined in the Daddy's game of football - hopeful next year Isaac, Joe & Noah will be able to play too!
After football, Mummy and went and fed the ducks on the river.
After all the kiddies have gone to bed all the grown ups had a bbq in the garden and talked about where we should all go next year!
We went to Trotters World of Animals with Anna & Noah, Bec & Isaac & Kerry & Joe whilst Mat, Swig & Chris went off climbing. It was a glorious day so I made sure Daddy put lots of sun cream on me (and him!)
We saw lots of different animals (with a bit of help from Kerry!) and all the children really enjoyed watching the owls fly in the big barn.
We also saw the otters and the red panda being fed...
and watched the monkeys chasing each other around
After a picnic lunch we saw some of the birds of prey fly outside. The falcon was incredibly fast and chased the rooks round the sky.
After the display we walked round the rest of the enclosures and saw some zebras and a mummy pig and her 3 piglets! On the way ouyt we stopped for a breakin the teepee.
Tuesday was a bit wet so we stayed round Keswick. Daddy took me to the swings in the morning but it started to rain so we went back to the house and played there instead.
After lunch and a sleep we went out for afternoon tea. I was very grown up and had my own cup of tea.
Mummy and I shared a piece of carrot cake, although I think I managed to get more than Mummy through careful positioning of the plate!
The cafe had lots of teddy bears in a very old pushchair near our table.
After I had gone to bed Mummy & Daddy went back there for their dinner (No XVII Bistro in Keswick highly recommended!)
On Monday we went to Maryport to visit the aquarium. We were meant to be visiting the farm that the baby goats I had fed at the agricultural show had come from, however, Mummy didn't read the leaflet properly, and it was only when Daddy checked it when we were almost there that we realised it wasn't open on a Monday!
After the aquarium we walked round the harbour and watched the fishing men loading their nets to go out to sea.
After a fish & chip lunch in a pub near the harbour we walked back to the car and I climbed on the railings with Mummy!
When we got back to Keswick we went to the park and played on the swings and I had a picnic for my tea after some thinking time!
